Mika Vainio: Triode/Kuvaputki

  An audiovisual tribute to the late Mika Vainio, which includes the first-ever North American screening of the Pan Sonic film Kuvaputki.

  June 19, 2019 @ Empirical Nonsense in LES NYC @7PM. Edward Paul Quist (Embryoroom) will be doing a very special event in honor of our late friend Mika Vainio who passed away two years ago. A book was released by Paul Smith recently capturing some of Mika's life in photos along with many tributes around the world by many artists since Mika's passing. To match that sentiment, Edward has produced a new a/v piece entitled 'Triode' where he asked all of us who were in some way inspired by or worked directly with Mika to contribute. It's debut will be on May 31st at the gallery. Also the Embryoroom/Pan Sonic video film 'Kuvaputki' will be shown in its entirety for the first time in North America.
